Location: North Chater Oak Lake is located in Peoria County on the Northwest side of Peoria. Go 1 mile south of U.S. Route 150 on Orange Prairie Road to the parking area for the park.

Description: This 6.4 acre lake is accessible to shore anglers by a paved trail and 3 fishing piers. The main parking area has a covered pavilion and a playground for kids.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: North Charter Oak Lake contains a balanced sport fishery of largemouth bass, bluegill, red ear sunfish, and channel catfish. Other fish species that are present in a low density include black crappie, common carp and green sunfish.
