Location: Opossum Pond is located at the entrance of the Opossum Creek Access Area on Lake Shelbyville in Shelby County.

Description: This pond is only 0.5 acres with a maximum depth of 10 feet. Bank fishing is possible around the entire shoreline. A large shaded handicap accessible pier is available. Fishing is only allowed by children or people who are handicapped.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: This pond has recently been restocked with bluegill, redear sunfish, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. Channel catfish are stocked annually.
