LARGEMOUTH BASS

Fair

An electrofishing survey is the best way to analyze the laregemouth bass population in a lake. Because electrofishing is not an option at this lake, very little is known about the population at this lake. One largemouth bass (14 inches) was collected in 2016. Largemouths up to 17 inches have been collected during previous IDNR spring trap netting surveys at this lake. Site Regulation: Creel limit of 5 fish under 14" and one fish over 18"; there is a protected slot of 14-18" (no possession).

WALLEYE

Average

Walleye have been stocked annually at this lake since 2002. One walleye (24 inches) was collected in spring 2016. The 24-inch walleye weighed 5.3 pounds.

Description: Green Wing Lake is a strip cut lake located on the Denmark Section of Pyramid State Park. Facilities at this 50-acre lake include a concrete boat launch, floating dock, and bathrooms.

History and Status of the Sport Fishery: As a result of high water conductivity, electrofishing is not an effective sampling tool at this lake. All information is based on spring trap netting surveys.

Additional Lake Information: 2 pole and line fishing only and bowfishing is allowed . From November 1 through February 28, fishing is allowed in designated areas only, and fishing hours are from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 2:00 PM.
