BLUEGILL

Good

in survey, bluegill body condition was very good.

LARGEMOUTH BASS

Very Good

In spring survey, 46% were larger than 12 inches, while 31% were longer than the 15-inch minimum size limit. Bass body condition was very good.

REDEAR SUNFISH

Good

Condition is excellent with 68% of the fish larger than 7" and 43% larger than 8" in length

WHITE CRAPPIE

Fair

Fish are relatively small, ranging from 4 to 8 inches in length.

Location: Little Cache #1 Lake is a relatively shallow, 21-acre, U.S. Forest Service-owned water body located approximately five miles north-northeast of Vienna, IL in Johnson County.

Description: The lake was formed by impounding Little Cache Creek and has a large watershed for its size, so significant rains have the potential to quickly raise the water level and decrease transparency. Little Cache #1 Lake has a gravel access road and primitive boat ramp.
