Fishing Report for Decatur, Lake

WATER CONDITIONS:  Water levels are up. Fishermen are successful fishing off the banks or from a boat. Some nice bluegill have been reeled in this past week with wax worms and red wigglers around the docks. Check out the quiet areas out of the wind. Some nice sunshine this past week just need more fishermen!

FISHING CONDITIONS

CRAPPIE

Fair: Look for fish in fairly shallow levels. Anglers using minnows, tube jigs, Charlie Brewer sliders, Power Bait, Strike Kings, garlic scented Slab Busters and jigs in orange or chartreuse color in shallower water and around the docks.

WALLEYE

Fair: Check out the water below the dam with a jig and twister tail, blade baits, Big Dudes, Rooster tails, Mepps, Blue Foxes or Sandblasters.

CHANNEL CATFISH

Fair: Some are being taken with Sonny's stink bait & Coles cheese bait. Also a nice flathead being caught now and then with live bait.

STRIPED BASS

Fair: Fishermen using a jig and twister tail, blade baits, Bomber Spoons, Cast Champs, and Charlie Brewer Sliders. A few White Bass are also biting at the dam.

LARGEMOUTH BASS

Fair: Hitting on spinner baits, jigs with trailers, top water baits, and crank baits below the dam.
