Fishing Report for Paris Twin Lakes

WATER CONDITIONS:  Water levels are up and good for fishing. A few Flathead Catfish caught with shad recently. The summer season is passing by quickly - go fishing soon!

FISHING CONDITIONS

CRAPPIE

Fair: Anglers are finding a few fish near brush and rocks with minnows and jigs. The west lake is best up close in shallow levels; early mornings or later evenings best.

LARGEMOUTH BASS

Fair: The Honey Bee Tournament is coming up on Sept. 24th; catching fish mostly on the west lake; seems like the East lake has been a little slow. Cast spinner baits or artificial lures near shoreline brush; also a few being taken from deeper levels with crank baits. A recent tournament reported limits of fish that averaged approximately 2.75 pounds. Fish hitting on plastic worms and crank baits in various colors.

WALLEYE

Good: Nice sized fish in the 15 to 16 inch range are being caught with jigs in the deeper water by casting and drifting or jigging.

CHANNEL CATFISH

Good: West side is best with minnows! Fish are also biting on shad, cheese bait, chicken liver and night crawlers near ledges and in holes.
