WATER ..... Lincoln Trail Lake




FISHING REPORT DATE: 10-30-09

FISHING AREA: The Lincoln Trail Lake is 146 acres with a maximum depth of 41 feet The lake has 7.3 miles of thickly wooded shoreline. Boating, fishing,hiking, camping, and picnicking are available at the site. A 10 horsepower maximum is allowed for boat motors. The site offers beautiful scenery and was the trail of Abraham Lincoln's family from Indiana to Illinois in 1831. Lincoln Trail Lake is located just west of Illinois Route 1, southwest of Marshall in Clark County.

WATER CONDITIONS: Water levels are normal. A few fishing mostly from a boat.

FISH: Crappie ... Fair to Good; A few fish are being caught off and on depending on the weather fronts; look for them near the piers with minnows.

FISH: Redear... Fair to Good; A few are being caught in the coves near structure or cover with wax worms and poppers.

FISH: Bass ... Fair; Anglers are fishing in both deeper and shallower water with lures and plastics near cover.

NOTE: November 1st - deer hunting will be allowed in the park.
