FISHING AREA: Lake Paradise is a 176 acre lake with 4.1 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 23 feet that offers boat fishing and picnicking opportunities. Boat motors are limited to 10 horsepower. Lake Paradise is located southwest of Mattoon in Coles County; north of Lake Mattoon, west of I-57.
WATER CONDITIONS: Water levels are up from recent rainfall. Lake Paradise is a small no wake lake.
FISH: Crappie ... Good; Anglers are picking up fish from a boat near structure; not too deep.
FISH: Bluegill ... Fair to Good; Wax worms are popular under a bobber in shallower water depths near cover.
