SILVER LAKE STATUS REPORT SUMMARY
LARGEMOUTH BASS: SILVER LAKE The 2002 fall survey
shows an increase in bass numbers from the previous survey. Thirty
seven bass per hour were collected as compared to 23 bass per hour
in the 2000 fall survey. Few large fish were collected, with only
5 % greater than 15 inches in length. However, this increase in
smaller fish may indicate improved reproduction and recruitment
of bass in this lake. Hopefully this will result in continued improvement
in the bass population and size structure in the coming years. The
angling prospects would have to be rated as fair at this time. There
is a 25 HP motor limit and statewide sportfishing regulations apply.
