RANDOLPH COUNTY LAKE STATUS REPORT SUMMARY

LARGEMOUTH BASS: RANDOLPH COUNTY LAKE - Our fall 2003 population survey was successful because the plant beds had declined by the time we conducted our survey. Usually, it is very difficult to get a good look at the population due to the dense plant beds. Fish were abundant in the 8 to 15 inch length range. A lesser number of fish were collected in the 16 to 20 inch class. The largest bass weighed 4.6 lbs. Young of the year fish are typically abundant in this lake. The larger fish are usually collected off the points and steep drop-offs. Habitat in spring and summer is typically dominated by dense plant beds. A 14 inch minimum length limit/3 fish per day creel applies.
